The test criteria are as follows:

Lithium batteries should take measures to avoid abnormal charging current during use. The tested batteries have an acceptable charging current Ic. Under abnormal conditions, protective measures should be taken in the terminal products.

5, mechanical test

(6) Thermal cycle test: The battery is placed in the test chamber and subjected to the following cycles:

The temperature was lowered to 20 ± 3 ° C in 230 min and kept for 2 h.


The temperature was raised to 40±3 ° C in 330 min and kept for 4 h.


The temperature was lowered to 20 ± 3 ° C in 430 min.

After 610 cycles, the battery was placed for 7 days for inspection. The sample should not ignite, explode, or leak.


(7) High-altitude simulation: The sample battery was stored for 6 hours at an absolute pressure of 11.6 kPa (1.68 psi) and 20 ± 3 ° C (68 ± 5 °F). The sample battery does not explode or ignite, and there must be no perforations or leaks.


6, charge and discharge test


(1) Charge and discharge cycle: The test temperature was 25 ° C, and the cell was subjected to a charge and discharge cycle according to the manufacturer's requirements, and was cycled until the capacity was 25% of the initial nominal capacity or 90 days after the continuous cycle. The sample should be free of any safety events.


(2) Short-circuit test: short-circuit the positive and negative terminals of the battery with a copper wire with a resistance value less than 0.1 Ω, discharge the battery until it catches fire or explode, or until the battery is completely discharged, the temperature of the casing is again lowered to room temperature (test at room temperature 60 Performed at ±2 °C). The sample shall not ignite or explode, and the temperature of the outer casing or battery case shall not exceed 150 °C.


(3) Abnormal charging test: After the normal discharge is completed, the current is charged at a current three times the normal charging current. No fire, no explosion.


(4) Forced discharge test: The battery core is completely discharged at room temperature, and after a series of new batteries of the same type are connected in series, the formed battery pack is short-circuit tested. The sample should not ignite or explode.


(5) Overcharge: The battery charges the battery at 3C, 10V constant current and constant voltage under full power condition. When the current reaches 100mA, it will be charged to constant voltage for 48 hours.


7, the logo


The battery should identify the manufacturer's name, brand name or trademark, and style settings. The battery should be labeled Warning and have a corresponding description.
